July 4, 2017:  Cutler Bay held its 50th Annual 4th of July Celebration in Whispering Pines Park. I was commissioned to lead an interactive weaving workshop for kids and families. Let me just say, kids love to weave! Most had never tried it before and were very eager to use their hands creatively. They were great! They didn’t know it but they used creative problem solving, spatial relationships, color harmonies, sequential thinking, and more. They just knew they were having fun, making something colorful and textural, with their hands. No fidget spinners needed. Girls and boys of all ages and abilities participated. Look at these proud faces!

Busy minds, busy hands
